I was referred to McNamara for a book cover design and was told it would take 7-10 business days. After two weeks, I followed up and received a vague update that he was working on the finishing touches, which turned out to be untrue. Six weeks later, I had to hire another graphic designer and requested a refund from McNamara. Despite his repeated apologies, he started to give me the runaround about the refund process. Eventually, I had to threaten him with small claims court, but he continued to avoid refunding me.

James McNamara from Anointed Art Studios stated that he would design a logo and provide proof within 48 hours. But first I had to pay my money which I did and paid $300 through CashApp on April 19, 2023. I provided all information and color for my logo design as requested. On April 23rd he stated he would have proof and never, then April 26th came andI reached out and did not receive a response or my logo design. I reached out again repeated on April 28th, May 7th, May 8th, May 10th for timeline and logo design. He promised and never delivered when I requested a refund. This continued and he refused to refund my money and even sent a logo that didn’t have my colors as requested nor in align with my program.

It’s upsetting to know he’s done this to other people but people like him will never progress with dishonesty.
