Andrew cannarsa called me wanted my sis number said it was being used in Texas…he’s so stupid I told him I wasn’t giving him my social so he told me to put his badge number 5B668011 in my browser and it came up that he was a scammer

Why are people so stupid?

Today I received a call from "Officer" Andrew Cannarsa stating my SS# was being suspended due to some activity in my name that was totally ridiculous. After trying to find out as much as I could about him I got tired of talking and hung up. These A**holes need to be stopped because there are people who fall for this crap. God, I wish I could actually find him!

Called saying I had fraudulent activity on my SS# and my information has been compromised. He asked for my SS# and DOB (which I DID NOT provide!), then confirmed my zip code. Started saying I've been linked to money laundering and drug trafficking in Texas. I told him I don't travel at all, I'm single with no kids, my car is paid for cash, I don't have credit cards, and this is a scam. After he realized I'm a broke bloke he hung up. Reported him and his Linkedin profile to the real SSA.

Andrew called me today stating that my social security number and my name had been compromised in Texas he had called from a local number in Baltimore he had information on me such as dates that I traveled where I had traveled to in Texas even what hotel I stayed at while I was there he was able to get my date of birth out of me and my name when he asked me for my social security number and I refuse to give it to him he became irate and rude threatened me with immediate jail time for drug trafficking these people must be stopped all the billions of dollars the US government spends on everything from coronavirus to freeing Afghanistan they need to solve the problems in their own backyard so American citizens are not threatened

Andrew has called me non stopped and told me my ss has been compromised, and he started asking what banks I associated with if I had any credit cards. He asked if I paid for any cars or apartments while i said I was only 18 years of age. He got very upset when I looked up its badge number and confronted him about the scams. He is very rude and disrespectful I was highly suggested to delete and block his number right away.

I just got the same call from "Andrew"... I wish i saw this web site before I verified my name and DOB with him. I hanged him up when he start to ask SS#. He gave me his call back# 4104388146. I filed claim with SSA @https://oig.ssa.gov/report.

Type of a scam Identity Theft

The caller first identified herself as Gail and said she was a social security officer and she was contacting mean out extensive fraudulent activity associated with my name and social security number. She address fraudulent activity as an apartment and car in another state associated with a possible murder, drug trafficking and money laundering. She said that my records were clean prior to this so the activity looks like my identity had been compromised and that there is a federal investigation. She then asked me to confirm my name, address and social and to verify which accounts and credit cards I held so these would not be frozen. They also said they would issue me a new credit card number. She connected me to officer Andrew Cannarsa badge number 5B668011 with the Office of the Inspector General and he went over the investigation in the same way. At some point our phone was disconnected and I googled to verify the phone numbers and it did not match the social security administration number. They then proceeded to call me back several times. I did not answer and eventually my phone identified some of the numbers they attempted to call from as potential spam.
