Received a letter in the mail today (9/11/26) from David Jones, a lawyer in Toronto, Ontario, Canada (Andrea Lakers, LLP Law Firm), indicating there was an unclaimed permanent life insurance policy held by his deceased client, in the amount of $11,550,300. The policyholder was an investor and precious stone dealer who passed away from COVID-19 two years ago. They were contacting me because we have the same last name. He wants to split it with me and donate the remaining balance to charity. He said in the letter that he sent it to me because I share the same last name as the deceased.
