i received an email to my in box from Amazon.com letting me know that my purchase of an $1800 computer was shipped to my address as requested, with my Order Details

Order #171-0183587-6223536

Placed on Friday July 1st 2018

Microsoft Surface Pro 4(512 GB, 16 GB RAM, Intel Core i7e)

Eclectronics

Sold by Adler Deals . . . I DID NOT ORDER . . . so i called the # to correct the error . . . there were 2 different men with a heavy Middle Eastern accent that said some God awful things to me that had nothing to do with a sale. They were making rude comments about my body parts and bragging on theirs. This was very upsetting and these ppl need to be stopped!

+1

I believe this is a scam because they keep sending me this email saying that my order has been cancelled and for me to click on a link to track my order. I have not ordered anything from amazon and I keep unsubscribing from this email and it keeps coming back. And my computer alerts me that this email may contain viruses.

THERE IS NOTHING THAT TELLS YOU THIS WHEN YOU ENTER YOUR CREDIT INFORMATION!!! When you add a credit/debit card number to your account, IF YOU DO NOT UNCHECK THE BOX that is next to "Processed as a debit card," Amazon will charge your debit card TWICE, removing the total of your purchase from your bank account TWICE. When the product is shipped, they credit your account, but it takes 7-10 days for the credit to be applied to your bank account. THUS, THEY ARE WITHDRAWING FUNDS FROM YOUR BANK ACCOUNT FOR ONE PURCHASE TWICE, WITHOUT YOUR AUTHORIZATION TO DO SO. Then, THEY ARE TYING UP YOUR MONEY FOR 7-10 DAYS!!! They initially authorize the removal of the funds, remove them, AND THEN CHARGE YOUR ACCOUNT AGAIN WHEN THE PRODUCT SHIPS. In my opinion, this is highly unethical, and borderline illegal. It's enough that Amazon has just lost my business permanently and I encourage everyone to do the same, unless you are in favor of Amazon using your money without your authorization!!!

This company signed me up for a free month of prime membership(without notifying me) then once that month ended they charged over a hundred dollars to my debit account without my permission and without notifying me. I found out when checking my bank account. This is very hurtful since I am on a fixed income and I want others to be aware and watchful so it doesn't happen to them. They are a million/billion dollar company is this how they got they rich? If so you should have all your money taken away and locked up and throw away the key!! This is illegal and they know it!

I will attempt to add a .docx document here, though it is not listed in attachments example. I did not open the email but rather right clicked the email and selected the "reply to sender" option. The attachment is a screen-shot capture of that window.

The email came from sender: ---Thank-you-!-Amazon--- and the subject of the email was: Re: ___Congratulations___ You-have-won+$500+Amazon-Giftcard

Obviously I did not open the email and naturally did not click through to what appears to be a hyperlink in the body. I have no idea what the "broken" graphics consisted of since I didn't open the email and allow the images to load.

In your questions below this entry BBB asks a question that I cannot respond to since I didn't open the email or click-through. However, you do not offer a "not sure" response so I responded "no" as the BBB scam form requires a response to this question: "Did the scammer attempt to take money?".

Thanks.

I ordered a kindle from Amazon.com on back order since they sold out on black Friday for the black Friday price. My order had been on back order for a month now when they suddenly canceled my order. When I called customer service they said they cancelled my order because they were out of stock. But when I get on the web site they do have the item I want but they are asking a price 15 dollars more and the customer service rep gets me to try to buy it at the inflated price. All I want . Is the merchandise at the price I ordered it at.
