I got a (phishing?) e-mail stating that "Amazon" got "my" order for an iPhone to be shipped to a different state. The e-mail specified that I should call a Phone Number if I did not place that order. Then I got a follow-up phone call from that Number about that e-mail. The first individual had a Scottish(?) accent. He transferred me to a second man who had an Indian/Pakistani accent. [I did not call them. They called me.] The second guy kept mentioning the BBB. The e-mail is definitely a scam. I'm not sure if the callers were legitimate or illegitimate. I think I've been had: my device might be compromised.

Scammer called my mother claiming to be from Amazon. He told her that her Prime account has a fraudulent charge and that she must log into a computer and go to a certain site. He was yelling at her. Then he told her she needs to go to the bank and tell them she is buying property and stock and to send 85,000 to a bank in Thailand.

I received the below text and when you click the link it takes you to a what looks like a legit Amazon page and asks for your login details. The site clearly does not look legit and it seems Amazon has no such policy.

[Amazon] We've noticed that one of your recent orders has experienced a significant price drop. According to Amazon's policy, you have 3 days to apply for a price difference refund. For more details, please log in https://t.co/YkJScCnyGQ?WRL=ViKQ0FX2NV

Thank you for shopping at Amazon and we wish you all the best.

Received 2 text messages supposed to be from Amazon. the texts were reported to Amazon one from 947 237 6555 on Nov 21 and one from +91 9155179401 both texts. Both texts mentioned specific amounts of money *both different amounts and told me to press on a link to secure my account. Did not press on link. Instead blocked the texts and the phone numbers and notified Amazon customer service.

I received a phone call which said possible scam I did not answer I hung up immediately and then I received a text message from the number above saying that I needed to authorize payment of 1499 for a Apple MacBook Pro computer on my Amazon account, which

I never ordered. I did not respond to the email I attempted to contact Amazon customer service but could not get a valid phone number.

I am requesting an email back from Better Business Bureau saying that there was an investigation into this scam.

Claimed that i made a purchase at Amazon and to contact this number1-855-379-6884. when i contacted the number they said that they are Amazon Fraud department. I had to login to my computer to fill out a fraud report. So i did that and filled out the report and they took over my computer. They got into my bank account and took money out and told me the money will be replaced in my account in 1 hour. I can not get a hold of anyone at this so called company " iPlum " they have an address in Santa Clara but the number I have does not get that company. I reported to my bank.

Now I have this so called company is intercepting my voice mails and sending me an E-mail that I have a voicemail to open the app to get them.

I was called by someone pretending to be from amazon fraud protection trying to confirm if I had made a purchase of $1,400 on my amazon account. I do not have an amazon account so I hung up

person called saying they were from Amazon and that someone had purchased a computer using my relative's amazon account, and they were calling to confirm they had purchased it. my relative did not provide any information and hung up.

Answered a text with a phone call. NJ caller # very pervasive on phone. Gave debit info. More money than initial $1000 taken off debit card totaling$3300

This number called me and said I had a charge on amazon account for over $1000 for an I phone and I pods . Press one to report fraud. Then this Indian male came on and asked my name. Then he told me my address and said my account was charged that amount. I told him to cancel, not my order. He said it was already paid for on card ending in -8927 in my name. ( I don't have a card like that.) He said it was shipped to address in Albany, NY. I told him I would contact my card company and report fraud and I was also going to report his scam. I could hear many phone conversations in background, so I knew it was "boiler room" full of scammers. The call came from number 346-466-4258. Of course I tried calling back, no success.

I tried calling Amazon customer service and I searched up on google , appeared to be the number above I called , they wanted me to screen share so I did thinking nothing much if it , when I did they asked me to put my social security to apply for a Amazon credit card that’s when , I noticed I caught them and they hanged up in me . The scammer made me look at my payments on Amazon but it only showed the ending of my cards but thank god I didn’t put my social security in .

I hope someone can stop these people who try to get your information by logging onto there request for a bill payment or stating someone has stolen my identity.

I hope this email the use as a text message to my phone helps.

Received a call from 912-565-7004 Claiming to be an Amazon service rep. I was told a payment needed to be authorized for $1,024 dollars for an Apple product.

I got numerous calls from California that I kept ignoring. I finally picked up and it was a robotic message saying that $1100 had been charged to my Amazon account and to press 1 to cancel the order if it wasn’t me. I pressed 1 and was immediately transferred to a man with a thick accent in a noisy room telling me someone stole my information, created an Amazon account in my name in Ohio and bought an iPhone. He said that in order for them to cancel the order I needed to give them remote access so they could see what credit card it was charged to. They were incredibly nasty when I questioned their legitimacy. He went by the name Michael and claimed that if we didn’t handle this immediately they would have to process the hacker’s order on my account. I told him he doesn’t have to do anything and I ended the call. took me way too long to notice it was a scam, but they’re getting much better at sucking you in. Plus many of my friends have had identity theft and I had just ordered from Amazon so I couldn’t be too dismissive of the thought of being hacked.

I received a call from 5135086358 on 5-20-2022 2:56pm EST. I answered the call they said they were with Amazon and they had some charges they wanted to verify because they looked suspicious. Then they told me that there was a charge from New York for 1500, Florida for 1800 and one from Mexico. The one from Mexico was $52,000. They said the $1800 was purchased the day before they called me from my phone. I started getting upset, they said wait a minute. They both had really heavy accents, they sounded almost like the same person, when they switched me over they said his name was Noah Phillips with the Federal Trade Commission and he said his badge number was 8144. At that point I was in tears, he said please don't get upset, stop and get a drink of water, we can fix this. He said let me put you on hold and next thing I knew he had hun up. I called the bank and she said nothing has happened. The day before I had received a call about a car loan, from some lawyer's office and said it was on your debit card and you signed for this.
