A guest of mine used this service to book a hotel room. The picture of the room does not match the room type that was booked. Guest immediately tried to cancel but wasn't refunded a dollar. They have false information listed. They also try to hurry you up to lock in a price before you can research. Please watch out and don't use this service. I downloaded the app inorder to find out what the problem was. It says they're from Singapore.

I booked a hotel through website, Agoda got my money and when I arrived at the location, there was no existing hotel.

Charged me for some sort of travel booking that I did not make. Refuses to drop the charge and said my name, email address and phone number are not in their system, even though an email from them is how I learned of the charge.

Tried booking hotel via online booking tool and transaction appeared to be complete. Short time later, received email re: fraud prevention with instructions to complete transaction by sending Agoda a picture front/back of my actual credit card AND a picture of my photo ID that matched the billing info for that card! No kidding!! I have NEVER been asked for anything as ludicrous as this. I believe it is a ploy to make identity theft and false charges possible. Priceline is said to own Agoda, but I can’t imagine a legitimate business asking for actual images to be sent for the purpose of supposedly preventing fraud! This needs to be investigated and consumers need to be vary of requests like the one from Agoda! I immediately called my CC company and they didn’t see a charge from Agoda so far, but it has only been a few hrs since I visited they provided in an email - it was the link that confirmed basic info before requesting that i send pictures of my Visa and corresponding photo ID. I will continue to monitor over the next month.

I booked a hotel room through agoda.com because it was recommended through trip advisor. Received a booking confirmation number, and reservation was listed as "non-refundable". I booked a room for a business trip I am on about two weeks ago. This website took all my credit card info, but when I arrived to the hotel, the booking number was bogus. The sweet woman at the front desk tried to rectify the situation, and the Customer Service rep from Agoda was extremely rude and unhelpful and kept demanding the hotel's "I'd number". The hotel clerk stated she had never heard of a "hotel if number". I then got on the phone to find out what the problem was. The (again) rude CS rep for Agoda informed me that my booking "was never complete". Excuse me? The confirmation I received says "Complete" at the top. I asked her what the company actually did other than take credit card information and she could not give me an answer. She states that they had not charged my card. I checked and they did not. However, it makes me highly uncomfortable that they have my credit card information!! Thank God that the hotel had rooms available. DO NOT DO BUSINESS with these scammers!!!!
