- Denton, TX, USA • Aug 13, 2025

I answered a facebook advertisement for a data entry position with AETNA. The person dm'd me with "interview questions" and then told me that I was hired and an HR person would be texting me. The HR person started out really friendly and then said that one of the things about the company is that they don't want their employees to have a lot of debt and offered to pay down on my credit cards, gave me a banking information, and told me to pay certain amounts on my credit cards. This started on 8/12. Today (8/13), this person contacted me and told me that I would have to go to purchase paper rolls totalling $700 in order to begin my training. Yesterday, I repeated told this person that I would not use my personal funds or credit cards for any business transaction. I am now being threatened with criminal charges if I do not do this. The driver's license the HR person sent me to show that he was "legit" doesn't have a correct zip code for New Braunfels, TX.
