Same exact thing happened to me. They called and left vm with a file #. Said if I didn't contact them they would proceed to file paperwork with the courts. A couple of minutes later my mom called me saying that they had been calling her, asking for me. I then called them back and they wanted to "verify" my information. I refused, and asked who they were and what was this regarding. "John" said without my case # they couldn't tell me anything. I asked if they were a debt collector and he said no, that they were a law firm called ADS. I told him whenever they figured out why they were calling me to let me know but I wasn't giving out any info. That's when I looked them up and found this website. Thank you all for posting. Total scam! I don't anyone anything and figured it was a scam from the start.

We weren't around when they called and left their message. The caller's phone number is 678-809-5251, the person says she is Ashleigh Parkson, she cites a case number for a person in the household, and says that person must call 877-706-1762 or the court will proceed with the case without our input. Totally bogus. Very thankful for this website and Tikilala's report which reassured us that we can safely ignore these calls. This is the 2nd one we have received.

They called me first from a 678-809-5251 number, when i answered no one was there, and hung up. Then they called my mother from an unknown number and left a vm with a case number and no law firm info saying saying my name and that she was listed as a contact "for the consideration of legal action for a lawsuit or complaint of a legal court to call 877-706-1762. If we do not receive a response we will move forward without consent". She sent me the VM, then deleted it.

I called the number and the lady told me they're a call center for a bunch of lawfirms, she told me it was ADS who was trying to get ahold of me. At that point I hung up and gave them no info. They now have a call center calling for them: 678-809-5251. I looked them up and there's no known law firm with that name. She said ADS was in St Louis but then also said they were "upstairs" and the call center is in Atlanta, GA. Only info I could find about them was all scam sites.

I got a call similar to what others have said. I asked directly about the complaint and the lady I was talking to rudely said that she was getting to it and if I would shut up and stop being disrespectful that she would inform me. I can 99% guess what this is about and it’s from an old, very old, Sam’s Club account. I think she was going to try and intimidate me or claim something legal that doesn’t exist, I have gone through this so many times that I have heard every different thing they think will sound intimidating or make some legal sense. I simply told her to go ahead and serve the papers, as I have already done at least a dozen times with others (or possibly the same scammers, since they like to change their names) and have yet had papers served. They even made it seem like a judgment had already been gotten, which is ridiculous because I have had the same address for 8 years and in order to get a judgment, I would have had to have had court documents of the lawsuit filed, processed, served, hearing, judgement, and default notice sent already. Just tell them you will be waiting at 12:00 any Monday and don’t worry, it’s very unlikely they will show up. I think they prey on two types of people, those that fear and those that had past problems but are much better financially now and could pay thinking they will get out of being sued by settling. The statute of limitations is all I care about and that was over a long time ago and I have done nothing to legally validate the date and make it enforceable.

My dh and I both received a call from 3132172748 from Cindy Wiles. She left a message stating I had to call 8884390754 and also left a case file. I called the 888 number and when asked who I was calling the woman stated she takes calls for all the lawyers in the building so I gave her the case file and it was like pulling teeth getting the "lawyers" office name from her. ADS is all she said and transferred me. The line rang with no answer. I called again in the morning and same stuff. I guy named John answered and would not give me his last name or any other identifying information for my information. He asked my case number and when I asked why he needed it when I just gave it to the woman on the phone who transferred me he didn't have any answer and started to get testy. When I wanted who know who was suing me and what else was going on he got real snippy and said he had to put me on hold and had to go pull the file. Hmm. Then he said if I gave him my birthdate information he would give me the last four of my ssn. I told him I don't give or verify that information unless I knew what this was about. He then said he needed to the information to verify it was me he was speaking too and that they needed to make sure I was going to be home on some date between some time so the process server can come out and I can sign for it. I asked what "it" is and he said court papers. When I asked from which court he said he didn't have that information. He was getting madder as our conversation continued. I ended it by telling him process servers and courts do not schedule days and times for the person to be available (that would make the person unavailable, right?) Who is going to wait around for a process server like they would wait around for UPS? He was really getting mad, so I had to speak over him and told him to send me some papers and I'll verify who you are and hung up. So much stuff did not make sense in what he was saying. Why wasn't my file online when my file number was? And why would someone give you the last 4 digits of your ssn? Even if I let him give it to me I wouldn't have validated anything. I also make sure to confirm only my First name. One more thing, I asked why I never received anything in the mail if they sent whatever several times, and he replied "I can't help it if you have bad mail service" when I never said anything about the type of mail service we have. Be careful. I hate to think how many people have been scammed already.

Did u ever get the papers ? This same thing just happened to me and my husband about a few minutes ago literally ! I spoke to a guy names jhon as well and he knew my husbands last 4 of the social .. he said we had a card from 2013 that was never paid and that we were getting served with some lawsuit for it .. from a credit one bank as well ! They "sent" papers back in april and we never got them so i got a call from central processing today from unknown number id on my phone talking about those papers !

I rcvd a call today from a 201-733-8048 number stating they were trying to serve me papers. I asked them what the lawsuit was for and they gave me the phone number and my case number for ADS Lawfirm at 1-888-687-0058. Apparently, they are trying to sue me for an old Wells Fargo debt from 2005-2008 (which I don't believe is valid). regardless they have a losing case here as the statue on limitations for old debt is 4 years (assuming I dont sign something or verify the debt is valid). Regardless this is a scam.

I received a call from ADS Law Firm stating a case number and that I'm being sued and need to call this number right away to avoid having to go to court. That number is 18885072146 i called that number and they transferred me over to a John Books who told me I had a payday loan back in 2007 and I owed 5k I had no clue or payday loan and after 15yrs wow. He said i could resolve it by paying 1,500. This is a scam beware they start off with a high amount like 5k then you won't mind paying 1,500.

ADS Law Firm Central Processing Left me a voice/ transcribe message. Stating that someone filled a complaint against. When I asked the man what was the complaint in regards to and I informed him that I was recording the call. He got irate loud and nasty and told me first I needed to give him personal information such as my DOB and SS#. I informed that I don't give out my personal information. Then he started that I would be receiving certified in regards to the company paint that has been filled against me and hung up the phone on me. I called back and asked the operator where are the law firms in that building located so that I could forward requested information to them. She said Atlanta, GA. I live in NYC. So I called back 25 minutes later. Gave them my reference number and spoke to either the same man or another one and I told to him that I don't live in Atlanta, GA nor do I have any affiliation to Atlanta, GA. Also that I looked them up and the “Law Firm” is flagged online ss a scam. And I would be reporting them to a real law firm.i attached a copy of the transcribed voice mail. People be aware of these scams.

Lady calls asking for a family member and the family member used me as a reference. She gives me the number and and a reference to give to my family member. She called and nothing. Of course they could not give me any information. It's a scam trying to get your information.

I got a call today from 310-878-6871. A woman said she's calling from "central processing" to confirm that a family member i know lives at our address. I asked her who she is, what company she is from and she said she's calling on behalf of ADS Law Firm. She gave me a phone number for the so called law firm 888-791-0418 and a file number. I called the 888 number and another lady picked up, said she is just working at the "switch board" and that there are lots of "law firms" at the building and she can transfer me if i give them a case#. I asked her who is ADS. She said its one of the law firms. A quick google search and no ADS law firm exists, and the same situation i went through was listed on tis scampuls site from another victim. They use different phone numbers but the main scam is real. Disregard them, block them, dont ever respond to any of their mail. Throw it in the trash and move on.

The scammer calls and states that a process server is trying to serve me at my home address for a civil complaint and leaves the phone number to an A.DS law firm. When calling the law firm the person ask you to verify your Social Security number your name and your date of birth they will not give you any other information.
