On 3 April 2026 while perusing Craigslist, I came across a job offer as a remote retail auditor with an hourly rate of $24.50. To complete the onboarding process they instructed me to buy a scanner in the amount of $90 which was going to be refunded after two months of working for the company. I purchased the scanner and received an order number. Luckily my bank didn't process the payment. A representative by the name Racheal Meyers sent an email to set up an orientation via Zoom and an in-person six hours training. The link for the Zoom orientation never came. I have attached the job description.
