I applied for the job on Indeed for a Online Chat Agent under HBNY Plumbing & Heating LLC. Someone contacted a few days later via text messaging saying they were with Abrilaire HVAC Service, INC. and that I needed to download the Signal app to conference with an online hiring agent name Robert Smith and gave me a conference code. I got in touch on the signal app with Robert Smith at (732) 708-6149. He said he would conduct an interview through this chat and he explained what they were hiring for and then asked a series of questions. He said would forward my interview to the hiring team and then give me and answer in 30 minutes. Messages again saying I did well and scored high on the interview and theyd be offering me a position. Then asked for my name email mailing address and phone number such I gave them. They said they would be giving a check to me to purchaee the office materials they require through some of their merchants and it would be a test as to whether or not they could trust me. It was sounding a bit too good to be true so I then asked if I could have some proof that this was a real job at a real company and then he went silent.
