I receieved a pushy letter from 888-678-5131 Home Warranty Services attempting to get me to pay for a home warranty. Although a careful reading of the letter indicates no claim that the anonymous company owns my warranty, a quick reading of the letter might make some people think they would be in trouble if they did not call the number.

I have received approximately 4 letters like the one attached from 888-678-5131 Home Warranty Services, each using more and more urgent language. Each letter was addressed to me at the address of the property I just purchased, with the name of the bank that sponsors my lender. There is no company name or logo, no address, no website, etc. for the sender of the letter. Only a phone number (1-888-678-5131) to call and an urgent request to verify information regarding my home warranty.

My home warranty is through a local company who would have contacted me via phone or email if they needed me.

Just a warning to anyone else who may search for this phone number - this appears to be a common scam!
