Door-To-Door salesman from "Resident Energy" came and talked to me about how my rates are going to increase with AES Ohio and Energy Harbor in May, and in order for them to not rise, I need to sign with them. He smelled like smoke and cussed often. He had no name badge.

I was leery so I gave him an incorrect AES account number and not my exact address. After looking up the number that he texted me from and the company he was talking to on the phone, I realized it was a scam and talked myself out of the conversation by saying I would finish on my own time.

I reached out to AES Ohio and Energy Harbor to be safe and to keep my account protected.

- Dayton, OH, USA

Door-To-Door salesman from "Resident Energy" came and talked to me about how my rates are going to increase with AES Ohio and Centerpoint Energy in April, and in order for them to not rise, I need to sign with them.

It was very fast-paced, and I didn't have time to think and provided them with viewing my recent bills for each service.

During this, they wrote down my address, and account numbers for both services.

I was able to look up a few things on my phone about them before they tried to get me to sign a contract over text, and promptly ended the conversation and had them leave after seeing the horrible things online.

I have contacted Local PD, confirmed the information with AES Ohio, and reported the details to CenterPoint on their website.
