Called my Employer and threatened me with legal document service for a 25 year old debt I did not incur and that I do not owe. They were very rude and unprofessional and did not act at all like a legitimate attorney or debt collection agency. They threatened me with Wage Garnishment and raised their voice and scolded me for talking back to them. It was very bizarre.

I received multiple phone calls from 513-796-4088 and 877-917-0285 claiming to be from Kinsale and Associates (5150 E Pacific Coast Hwy, Long Beach, CA 90804). They said they were calling about a lien on my property and needed to verify my employment and also have a case number.

They already knew my name, my partner’s name, our home address, and both of our workplaces. They also called our places of employment directly, which was harassing and embarrassing.

When I challenged them, I was told the lien “probably hasn’t shown up yet,” which I confirmed with my mortgage company and county recorder is not possible. No lien exists.

This appears to be a phony lien scam designed to scare homeowners into giving out personal information or money.
