Fake Norton support number told me to pay with Amazon gift cards
I am writing to report a scam incident related to a fake Norton subscription support service from 844-449-4579 Norton Support. I was searching online for help to check my Norton subscription status and came across a page titled “How to check Norton subscription status? - Challenge 440.” The page displayed the contact number 844-449-4579, which I believed was legitimate.
When I called, the representative claimed my subscription had expired and insisted I needed to renew it urgently. Instead of standard payment methods, I was instructed to purchase Amazon gift cards and share the codes. After I complied, they stopped responding.
