The scammer (a woman) called me and informed me that there was a problem with my Indian mobile phone number in New Delhi. I do NOT have an Indian phone number, and furthermore have never been to New Delhi for years. The scammer indicated they were calling on behalf of the Indian Consulate General, San Francisco. I started asking her questions about where she was calling from and also asked her to provide an email address. She did not answer either of those questions, but gave me a number to call 628-303-6202. Out of curiosity I did call that number, and when I reached it there was a voice recording asking me to provide my name and contact details. I did not provide any information, but simply hung up.
