I received a call from 614-422-7575 with Chase Bank caller ID claiming that there were attempted fraudulent outgoing Zelle transactions from my checking accounts. They claim that they are performing an active investigation and in order to catch the person attempting these transactions I need to go to my nearest Chase Bank branch with them on the phone on headphones, transfer $15k to an account with another name on it (Chamir Bautista) until the account can be later put in my name once the transfer is complete. The rep has set up a Linkedin under the name Ernest Woodley, Sr Lending Advisor at Chase and the phone number's first google result shows Chase HELOC Customer Service, followed by multiple scam reports. He lists multiple case numbers and void codes over the phone to attempt to sound legitimate. I hung up and blocked the number and called actual Chase to verify that my accounts were secure.
