I received a text from someone named Lindsey who claimed she worked for a Romal Omid, owner of an insurance agency. The text included a Zoom link and a request to pay at least $500 to get my “business” started with a client base of my own. I immediately refused and asked to not be contacted again. The number is blocked, and I am reporting this scam for the awareness and protection of others.

Got the exact email shown on your complaint. It looked suspicious, so I tried to research it a little. When I clicked on the link my protection app automatically blocked the site because it was suspicious. Entered company name in. Google and came up with your site and other people that got the same message. Just wanted to say thanks for confirming my suspicion.

Got a text message from a phone number about a job I applied for the Omid Organization. I have never applied for such a company. Looked up the phone number, and it led me straight to scam lists and here too. They wanted to set up a Zoom interview and provided a link.

Message goes like this:
