Scam trying to get you to pay bill you don’t owe

Scam. They say you owe loans that you never took out. The scary part is they have your social and personal information. Wondering how they got my info.
They sent me a scary text after I hung up on them too. They definitely belong in jail. Hoping they can be put to a stop soon.

Someone from this "business" contacted my mother saying they were trying to contact me about a legal issue. She called me and I called them back with the case number they provided. I think the person I spoke with said his name was Justin. He informed me that he was attempting to collect a debt from a pay day loan that was either turned over to them in 2020 or went into default in 2020. He could not tell me when the loan originated but said the loan company was EZ MONEY LOAN SERVICES. He also said the loan had been paid on for a year before default. I was also told that they had sent a demand letter 38 days ago. I said that I had not received it and he said he could not send it again, but he could offer me a reduced payoff amount of $910.62 (original amount he said I owed was $2,787.21). The only way I could get more information would be to go to court because they would then have to turn over evidence.

I received a message from Bayleigh Asset Recovery & Associates to call regarding a pending filing against me, provided a reference and call back number. When I called back and spoke with Angie, she stated that a pay day loan had been taken out in 2021 and was defaulted on. An email and bank account were provided to me, neither one was one that I used, but had the correct social security number. This company also contacted my son and daughter attempting to locate me. Angie stated that they attempted to contact me in April with a settlement of $949 which was half of what the original loan amount was, but I said I never received anything which is strange that I have never heard about this, and it's been almost three years. I asked who the original creditor was, and she stated "easy money loan" I asked for a phone number, but she said that they filed for bankruptcy. I did ask for paperwork if I didn't want this to go to court and she emailed me a settlement agreement to sign and send back, I wanted their information.
