I applied for a job through Handshake AI. I received an email with the job (screenshot attached) without being interviewed. Before sending my information, I searched online and found two fraud complaints with this site.

Applied for this position through Handshake, and got an offer letter almost immediately. They insecurely requested my tax and personal identification information.

They emailed me saying I got the job without any personal contact. Told me to fill out 3 forms, a w4, direct deposit form & job offer form. So my personal info was shared & gone. They said they asked for the front & back of my ID as well. They said they received my information & would walk me through a 7 day onboarding & training process before I could start working. I don’t know what will come of my now shared/lost personal information but they had the job listing & questions with the resume upload very legit & believable.

The company was intending to collect information via documentation gathering. They send you an offer letter with a W4, Direct deposit and redirect you to a link with an offer code.

Reached out on Handshake for a job offer - after applying I received an email saying that I was given the job (no interviews or anything) and then was sent some "onboarding" forms like direct deposit, w4 and a link for onboarding

I saw the company "hiring" for a data analyst position on Handshake, I didn't think much of it. I went through and applied via Formbricks, that was when I knew it was weird because they never asked for a resume. I applied over the weekend but by the next Monday (Memorial Day), I received an "on-boarding" email letting me know I was chosen. No interview, no resume, just hello, go through the on-boarding by sending your ID to our website and filling out a W2. Obviously, big red flag. I went to search up the company's number and my clipboard gave me this number instead 628-286-4818 which is already associated with a scam on this site for a different "company". Please be careful and do your due diligence. If you THINK the job application process is weird, don't follow through with it.
