I received the Data Entry Analyst Full-time Remote job offer from third-party job market apps name "Handshake". 209 Trading Company emailed me that I was selected and moved the process for onboarding, that fill out the W4 form, bank direct deposit account number & routing no. Since I feel like something is not right after uploading my information to their database, I went to my Financial Center to freeze my account right away. I researched on Google about the company review after all this chaos happened, and found out that this is a phishing job offer.

I received an email that said I had received a job offer for 209 Trading Company remote, Data entry analytics, and hour of pay. Along with the fake offer letter, W4 paperwork, and direct deposit information.

I was targeted by a remote employment scam using the name "209 Trading Company." They posted a fake "Remote Data Entry Analyst" job on Handshake, sent a generic assessment, and then emailed an official-looking offer letter from [email protected]. The email directed me to a password-protected onboarding portal on their domain to upload standard hiring paperwork. Through this portal, they collected photos of both sides of my government-issued photo ID, a signed contract, a completed W-4 tax form containing my Social Security Number (SSN), and a direct deposit form with my bank routing and checking account numbers. This is a phishing operation designed to steal identity data and banking details from job seekers. No real interview occurred, and all communication was asynchronous.

Posted a job opportunity in Handshake and an assessment. Once the assessment has been completed, they approach me through email saying that I have been selected and please fill the following forms such as official employment offer letter form, direct deposit authorisation form, W4 tax form.
