I received a piece of mail that looked like a check or tax document. They have national company names and a couple logos used in the letter, though they are skewed and not properly used for their branding. They are offering 2 round trip airline tickets and hotel stays. They want you to call the number listed but there is no website or other identifiable information about WHO is sending this letter.

Received this letter in the mail urging me to call for free dinner vouchers and airline tickets if attending this expo. I googled the number and it is related to a similar scam from last year.

Definitely a scam

I received the envelope pictured below today, October 2, 2023. It was addressed to me but included my former married name (I’ve not used that name in over 15 years, so they obviously purchased a very outdated mailing list.) This mass mailing can in no way be sponsored by, endorsed by, nor sent by any of the airlines or hotel mentioned, because I belong to each of the listed companies’ awards programs, have used all within the past year, and none of my accounts have my former married name listed. If all of those reasons and earlier claims haven’t convinced you how sketchy this is, then all you need to do is Google “2023 Travel and Excursion Showcase”. It is a known scam which needs to be shut down before gullible people, who aren’t tech savvy, lose their hard-earned money. It’s too bad people cannot make money honestly by earning it and not taking advantage of people. So sleazy.

Notice states I am invited to attend the 2023 Travel and Excursion Showcase. It offered two free round trip Airline Tickets from American / Southwest / Jetblue with a total value of $1080.00. If called within 24 hours you get a 100.00 restaurant voucher. Postage meter on the mailing is Presort STD Class US Postage PAID Permit 21018640. Return Name is T.E.S. 2023. No return address. Contact person is L W Claim number is RAN05. I have a lot of respect for the employees of the BBB. They assisted me in a previous action against AMEX, and although not successful l appreciate their efforts.
