Recently received a letter in the mail claiming that my vehicles' factory warranty has expired and that I will be financially liable for all repairs. This is obviously a scare tactic. The only phone number on this letter is 1-888-928-0995. There is no formal business name anywhere on this letter. The letter is signed off by an electronic "signature" by the name Michael Toplen "Program Coordinator". The letter instructs me to call the number provided with the VIN and mileage of my vehicle before the 14th, which I will not be doing. Just wanted to make others aware of this scam letter in case they receive it and worry. The key thing about the letter is there is no business name, no formal organization to talk to, no email, no website, just the phone number and Michael Toplen.

RECEIVED A "TIME SENSITIVE" LETTER STATING I HAVE NOT CONTACTED THEM TO "GET YOUR (MY) SERVICE CONTRACT UP-TO-DATE". I RECEIVED IT ABOUT TWO MONTHS AFTER I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE. IT CONTAINED A GRAPHIC IMAGE OF THE MAKE AND MODEL OF THE CAR I PURCHASED AND REQUESTED I PROVIDE THEM WITH THE VIN AND CURRENT MILEAGE OF THE CAR. IT EVEN HAD A "CUSTOMER ID" LISTED ON THE PAGE. THERE WAS NO IDENTIFYING COMPANY NAME, LOGO, ADDRESS, WEBSITE, OR EMAIL LISTED ON THE PAGE. ONLY THE PHONE NUMBER 1-888-928-0995. IT WAS SIGNED WITH A COMPUTER-GENERATED FONT WITH THE NAME MICHAEL TOPLEN, PROGRAM COORDINATOR. OBVIOUS SCAM!
