Received warranty setup notices and gave info before realizing it was a scam

He said his name was Brandon from 1(888) 805-3439, and that he was going to go over my payment options for the warranty. Unfortunately, I gave him my email, mileage of my car, the last 6 digits of my cars VIN number, and verified my phone number, before I realized that it was a scam. I only called because I was unsure whether this was an additional process to do to set up my cars warranty since it was a recent purchase. When I told him I couldn’t pay and that I had to discus it with my dealership first to verify, he hung up.

Before the call took place I had received a total of 2 notices that were indicating the need to setup the warranty. At first I thought it was a scam, but then when the final notice letter came in I thought it was from the dealership.

Received a misleading final notice about car warranty from an 888 number.

We purchased a car recently. This week my spouse was addressed on a piece of mail from 1(888) 805-3439 regarding "Form 9550-WARR" with lots of inflammatory language: FINAL NOTICE, Official Business, Policy Offer Expire Date, "you will be financial (sic) liable for any and all repairs".

No name of company given, just an 888 number where we should give them our VIN and mileage.
