I received a postcard via US Postal Service about an unclaimed reward for $100 and an additional $50 for responding quickly good towards purchases at Walmart, Target, Best Buy and other retailers. I called the toll free number and after the spiel i was told there was a $3.49 one time charge that i could use credit, debit, or bank account information to pay. I provided a Chime account card number but it was declined (there was sufficient funds) and a Cash App card number that was also declined. After each incident the scammer requested my bank routing and account number. I stated that i did not have a bank account. They asked if i had a credit card number but i didn't give that either. I was transferred to a supervisor that asked again for my banking account number and i told them again i had no bank account. The focus was obviously my bank account info. I was finally transferred to an upgade offer but after answering a few questions i was told, "sorry theres no available offers in your area" and disconnected.
