While on Facebook I clicked what I thought was a Home Depot site. I was told I could receive a power drill for $9.49 shipping & handling. I decided to pay to get the drill. I was charged $9.49 immediately. The next day Jan 1st there was a pending change on my debit card for $97.49. There was very little information given when charged. In order to find out who was charging my card I had to allow the charge to go through. Once it was withdrawn there was a phone number I could call.

I called and was told this was a third party customer service department. When I asked the name of the company the person would not give me a name. After a lengthy conversation I was told that the fee changed was AN ENTRY FEE for future giveaways. I demanded a refund! I was told that I could only get 50% of my money back. I was very unhappy. Several minutes later the person said she checked with the refund department and she would refund me the 97.49 but not the 9.49 charge. Feeling somewhat better having bring told I would get my refund within 7 to 10 days but very disgusted with the situation. Please look into to this scam since so many people fall for it including me.
