I was called by this company, a debt collection agency. They told me that this was from a medical service i received in January. I advised them that I had no clue I had a debt remaining from that bill. The lady on the phone was able to answer EVERY question I had about my medical bill. After several minutes on the phone I was convinced that it was legitimate and made the payment of 25.51. The next day that charge showed up on my bank account for 25.51 out of Georgia for First Financial Asset Management. I also had a fraud attempt for 125.05 at a Winn Dixie out of Georgia. I had to block my debit card and will have to report that as fraud if it posts. I called First financial asset management today and was able to speak with someone. They gave me my medical account number, the date of transfer to them for collections, and the date of service. I called the hospital and discovered that there is a debt, but it is not for 25.51 and it is not with First Financial Asset Management. They should not have my information to be collecting anything. I will be filing that charge as fraud as well. They have no business contacting me for a debt. They have no reason to have any of my medical bill information. I also believe that because of that phone call with them, my debit card was compromised and had to be blocked.
