As a representative of Virtual Coworker (https://virtualcoworkers.com), a reputable remote staffing agency, I feel compelled to share our experience with 1840andco.com to warn others in the industry.

We were approached by 1840andco.com with promises of a collaborative partnership. However, their communication was inconsistent, and their requests raised several red flags. Upon further investigation, we discovered multiple reports on Scampulse detailing fraudulent activities by 1840andco.com, including fake job offers and check-cashing scams.

It's disheartening to see such entities tarnish the reputation of legitimate remote staffing companies. We urge others to exercise caution and conduct thorough due diligence when approached by unfamiliar organizations.

I applied for a job for E-workforce solutions and like the lady above said, they kept changing how it did the interview then I was offered a position and filed all the documents with my REAL information. They contacted me and were telling me a check was going to be mailed to me to purchase the equipment from their trsted vendor so I could get the equipment on time. It started to look fishy and I told him that he was a scam and I was going to file a police report and he told me “I am scare 😂😂😂😂”. So yeah, be aware!

I applied for the Data Entry job with 1840 and Company on Zip recruiter. They reached out to me and scheduled an interview. They then switched it to an online interview form for me to fill out. They then offered me the position and said they would be mailing me a check to purchase all the equipment necessary to fulfill my job duties. Once I deposited the check and the funds were available they had me send the money through cash app and Zelle to their vendor that would send me the equipment. Once I had sent the money the check bounced and I lost all 2,995.79$ that I sent to them. After confronting my supervisor about this he admitted it was a scam and has since stopped all contact with me.
