I was contacted today 02/27/25 by an individual who identified himself from the company “Comcast” which even came up as that on my call ID. He stated his name was David White and ID for the company was 8012. He informed me my “firewall” for my internet was at risk and called me to say I need to be by my modem. I wasn’t at first then called again like he said he would. He said this is important, he stated my internet security was at risk and the only way to find out who was using my internet without my knowledge and to block them was to open my laptop after I even said I am better at my cellphone. He had me open the application “AnyDesk” download it first and read many long numbers to him and click on several different tabs and even at one point wanted me to open my camera, which I did not. He had me change a password and confirm it and the password was **********

I even questioned him saying thought the name changed to Xfinity he said this is what’s it’s always been he kept referring to me as “Mam” What freaked me out the most, was when my cursor on my laptop was moving on its on- I knew then I was clearly being scammed and this individual now had the ability to access inside my computer. I quickly hung up. I called Xfinity and found out he does not work for them and their ID numbers are longer than 4 digits.
