I received a Form 5102 Mandatory Beneficial Ownership Reporting in the postal mail from 1030 15th St. NW #379, Washington, DC 20005. It indicated that I needed to send a check or money order to register my business for $149 pursuant to the U.S. Corporate Transparency Act enacted by Congress. It said that if I neglect to report that I would face civil penalties of up to $500 for each day and can be fined up to $10,000 and/or face up to 2 years in prison.
