Email from YourMedicalBill.com showed the name Clarkson Eyecare on a dark blue background (real color is aqua blue). White cross logo above the N in Clarkson (real logo is a white outline of a tilted eye on teal blue background). Said "You have a new bill." The dollar figure was in dark print and the cents figure was in faded print (and the figure WAS correct for purchases made and fully paid for months earlier). Said "Your insurance has already been billed" and "You are responsible for the amount above". Gave options for viewing itemized bill, support help, account settings, payment history, itemized bill, payment methods-all of which required signing into a patient portal (which would then allow for private info to be given, I presume since I didn't try).

Checked with an actual Clarkson Eyecare which verified my account was paid and that this email request for payment was a scam.

I received a bill from YourMedicalBill.com for a COVID-19 test from April 2022. While I did get a test, it was paid for through the production I was working on at the time. The company that did these tests is not closed since they are no longer required for work.
