A guy with a heavy accent just called me to say that I have illegal activities on my computer from Malware. I wasted almost ten minutes of his time while I told him that my computer was booting up. It must have been all the Malware on my computer that took so long. Ha Ha.

He also claimed that he was from the government so I asked him which government and he told me that it was top secret Ha Ha.

Now he claims that three guys with paperwork are coming to visit me. I hope the three guys like dogs.

Here is his phone number 1 823 568-7880

He want to have me install software on my computer so that he could "fix" the problem. DON"T LET THEM DO IT!!

I received call from a male (phn# 141-652-2325/Ontario, Canada) telling me there was a problem with my computer. Caller said he was from Windows & could clean up the problem. I did not let him go on & hung up on him.

Said they were windows and there was something wrong with my computer. When i told them I didn't have a computer they said I was lying

I have been receiving phone calls for at least a year from different numbers but all with the same false employer (Windows/Microsoft) and instructions to go onto my computer so they can talk me through and "fix" the software issue on my computer. When I begin to ask questions the representatives generally get rude and or aggressive with their tone of voice. Sometimes I hang up - sometimes they do. The last phone call I received was from 210-280-8487 - this person became so angry at my noncompliance he swore at me and then hung up.

On 11-3-15 I got a phone call at home from 1-845-691-3947 in Highland, NY. Individual on the phone identified himself as being from Windows and said there is a problem with my personal computer. When I asked him what this was about, specifically, he said I should go to my computer and he will give me instructions to a pathway so he could modem into my computer to fix the problem. I hung up the phone on him.

Today, 11-5, same individual called again from the same phone number and wanted me to let him have access to my computer. He said he was from Windows and my computer is pinging some very serious error codes. I started questioning him, asking him to please provide me with a way I can verify he indeed works with Windows and that there is indeed a problem. When I started questioning him, he hung up on me.

This male speaks English with a heavy East Indian accent.

I believe this is a scam and want to alert authorities.

I have been contacted many times by this company claiming to be windows, the day they called I was trying to download Windows 10 and it would not load. He was Indian or something, claimed that my computer was in trouble and so I typed in what he said. I questioned his identity and he said he would show me the virus/trojans that were affecting me. He brought up this page and told me it was all my problems and they would wreck my new computer. He started asking for money, I said I had a free download of Windows 10 and he said they will not load till the trojan is gone. I hung up. Every time they call I tell them not to call me again. I did scan my computer and there are no errors, although I still can't download Windows 10. This is terrible, I now know they are probably trying to get into my computer to get my information.

Call from Windows wanting me to give strange man on phone access my computer.

When I called number back I was contacted on per my cell phone caller ID. It answers as a "Verizion Customer". And the Verizion number is not accepting calls at this time. I tried to contact Verizion Wireless to advice that this non sense Spam is going on in their phone line. Verizon classifies this as "telemarketing". But I am on the no call list. Why can we not start a Class Action Lawsuit against Verizion for providing the Avenue for these phishers to conduct their illegal activities and defraud the public. Verizion is profiting from the phishers use of their phone lines and knows what is happening they have been advised that this is happening but continue to let it go on because they receive a fee from crooks to use their phone lines. Verizion needs to be held accountable as well for not stopping this crime and Knowingly aiding and abetting .

I received a phone call today on my home telephone from Windows. Also received a call yesterday. Told me I had a virus on my computer. They can fix the problem. Wanted to get on my computer. Caller had accent, and I cut them off. The caller ID showed phone numbers 216-692-2972.  My phone number is similar. Additional phone number 909-478-7604.

Someone by the name of Roger Williams called from 805 438 2110 claiming that he was from Windows and that my computer had been hacked into. He asked for my password and login so that he could run a scan on my computer. Red flag number one, how did you get my cell phone#. Red Flag number two, why would you ask for my login and password. I did not provide any information but I know someone who did. Prayerfully, he was able to cancel credit and debit cards in time.

I have received multiple calls on my personal phone from 647-556-7323 and 231-225 (only this 6 digit number on some). These are electronic calls because it takes a while for caller to respond when I answer. The first caller said she was calling from "windows" and she has information that someone is trying to hack into my computer. Knowing it was a scam I asked what to do. She wanted me to boot up my computer so she could identify the hacker. I answered a later call when the Canada number appeared. He again said he was from windows and wanted to know if I was the owner of the computer. I did not answer any questions and hung up. These callers are persistent and are probably using other phone numbers.

Consumer received a call from someone claiming to be with Windows. The caller told the consumer her computer had been hacked and gave her an ID number saying that only 2 people in the world had access to that number; the consumer and windows. The consumer realized this was a scam and did not continue the call.

Received phone call at approximately 930am this date. Male on other end (from India name *** *** very hard to understand) claiming to be from Refund Department of Windows. Phone number calling from ***. He told me that a company from India caught the person that was hacking my computer and that I would be receiving a $1500 dollar refund of which I would have to send a money gram for $300 to the company in India. He wanted me to leave my checking account open so the money could be transferred in 24 hours. I tried to call the phone number back and got a recording for Magic Jack. When I suggested I would be checking his company out with BBB, he got very nervous and said he can't waste any more time on me, that he had many others to call. I had problems with my computer and did pay $199 to have it fixed. This sounds like the same person I talked to a few days ago. I believe I have been had. They called me.

A call comes from "Windows", stating that your computer is about to crash. To prove this, they give you a series of letters to type into your computer. This gives them access to your computer. They show you some programs that they say are not operating; then instruct you on how to download a remedy. After a point, they ask for your credit card number, because this remedy cost almost $200.00. When I declined to give my credit card info, they became belligerent, threatening that my computer was going to crash within the next few minutes. And, just to be spiteful, they changed my password before logging back out of my computer, so I had to take it to Best Buy to reset. Phone number they called from: 985-606-0307. Caller ID lists "Amanda Garvin" as the caller. IP address: 173.224.123.242, and it corresponds to "ammyy admin". Other IP addresses: 88.198.6.54 and 55. I know now that windows does not call people - but they are very convincing!

6/22/2015 - In S. Maine....Received call at 5 p.m. this evening. I have no caller ID so I don't know the number the call came from. The gentleman has a heavy accent that sounds like it might be *** or *** ***. He states that he is calling from ***. I have been receiving these calls for several weeks now. He calls like clockwork at 5pm. This time I told him not to call back and hung up on him again. I knew the minute I heard *** it was a scam as *** is the program and a program wouldn't be calling me.

Scammer call from 315-370-7992 caller id = VICTOR THOMAS

MAY 18, 2015 - 2:26 pm: thickly accented male voice claiming to work for "windows support" said my computer was infected with a virus, wanted me to enter "www.win32.us" in the RUN function under START (key at lower left of windows screen).

I googled instead and found an entry from ScamPulse.com GA/AL from 2013

This was an apparent attempt to steal private info if the old notice from ScamPulse.com is correct.

Claimed to be from Windows; that my computer was putting out errors and was about to crash. For me to go to my computer and he would talk me through finding the CLS ID # on my computer....Computer License ID. I refused; said I needed to verify if not a scam and asked for a number to call him back. Gave me his name as Aaron Smith at 657-888-7283.

Was insisting, wanted to know if I knew how to find the CLS #. He started giving me instructions which I told him I was writing down, I was not going to do it in the computer until I knew he was legit. In doing that, he mentioned a "send" command, at which point I told him I was not going any further. I would check it out and call him back. At this point he became more irritated and told me I was wasting his time at which I hung up. The number that came up in my caller Id was 404-2015 unknown name.....I do not usually answer #'s I don't recognize, but I was in a hurry and my ID is hard to see so I picked it up. He was very convincing. He did speak with a foreign accent. Kept saying how important it was to take care of this right now before my computer crashed. Later, I found out from my husband, a friend of his has received this type call several times.

Phishing-log into computer to fix hacking. Called at 8:50
