Viking River Cruise Giveaway Reports & Reviews (5)

- Pass Christian, MS, USA • Feb 24, 2026

Yellow-brown envelope arrived by US Mail, marked Personal & Confidential. It claimed, "You are a finalist in our Viking River Cruise Giveaway!" It contained a plastic "V,I.N Gauge Box" with a pull tab to view a number that then lit up. There was also a scratch off. When scratched off, the numbers should match and if so, you have won one of the prizes. It said to call 1-866-678-8689. Instead of doing so, I Googled this and discovered it is a scam from the Viking River Cruise Giveaway. I did not call the number, but you should! And have it shut down!

I received a yellow envelope addressed to me marked Personal & Confidential from Viking River Cruise Giveaway. Inside was a flyer type letter stating I was a Finalist in their Viking River Cruise Giveaway plus First Class Airfare for 2. Attached is a Confirmation Box with a pull tab. The letter basically instucts you to call the gifting dept immediately to receive one of five listed gifts.

I received a postcard titled Cruise Travel Expo 2025 – Viking River Cruise Giveaway Plus First-Class Airfare for Two.

The mailer used cruise-line logos (Princess, Holland America, Celebrity, Uniworld) and a scratch-off code showing “winning numbers.”

It asked me to call 855-540-7821 with offer code ****** to claim a prize such as a Viking River Cruise with airfare, Caribbean cruise, or $15,000 cash.

Fine print says the sponsor is “not affiliated with the cruise lines listed.”

This matches numerous ScamPulse.com Scam Tracker reports for nearly identical postcards using numbers 855-540-9664 and similar formats tied to the so-called “Tour & Travel Focus Group.”

I have not called or provided personal information. I’m reporting this to warn others and request investigation.

- Spokane, WA, USA • Sep 06, 2025

Just like the Texas report, I received the same postcard. It has the PTCL2025 listed so I suspect it is a scam.

I suspect Princess and Viking were hacked to get confidential incormation.

Finalists for a Viking cruise, the give you a presentation, what you to sign up for a vacation package for 10 years for $15,000.00 dollars. When you say no they have to talk to others. Then when said and done, they say you won a trip and a $50 dollar gift card that they will email. Then the gift card or the trip never came.
