VERIZONWRLSS * RTCCR VE
I ordered a device and a wireless plan on the 19th of December. When ordering, I was given the option to pick up my item in store or have it shipped to my address.
I opted for the to latter and then I opted to pay 19.99 extra for next day shipping. The next day, waited... Never arrived! I checked the order to see what was going on only to find that the expected date of arrival had been changed to Monday (2 more days,) Monday came and Monday went but still... no package! Once again I checked the order status and was not surprised to see the date of arrival had been moved back to Tuesday.
Tuesday came, I went to work and when I got off at 10:00 I found out from my dad (who smokes crack and LIES!) that a box that came for me via FedEx sometime after 6:00 p.m.
Open the box and it appeared so everything was brand new that was pleasantly surprised! It wasn't very long after this that I noticed I was unable to log into my email accounts, nor was able to log into my TriNet account for work, I knew I had the passwords right!?
Then I received several security notifications across all three of my Gmail accounts and they popped up as soon as I logged in ... At this point I figured you you guessed it, I HAD BEEN HACKED!
It's taking me some time to come to terms with this and make sense of things as far as proving that I'm not just imagining some of this, my mail had been intercepted by someone or perhaps the non-existent updates on location and very vague "Your order is on the way!" milestone updates on fedex.com we're an even more obvious clue that I had been fooled into clicking on insecure links, whether by email or perhaps simple Phishing was to blame?
I recently went into the my Verizon app and in the "Device" section, my current device as well as it's I mean I remember followed by the pSIM number we're just like always, the first thing displayed.
But what was weird, is whenever I scroll down and clicked on change devices (with intentions of attempting to move my device from a physical SIM card to the eSIM to avoid "SIM-jacking" or "SIM-swapping,) my device was listed again, however below my device it read this: (SIM: xxxx xxxx xxxx xxxx) and this was NOT my SIM card number, nor my eSIM!
