this is an old thread, but i’ve been getting dms from them, too. they first messaged me november 15th of 2020 from a separate account, and i accepted the offer initially because i expected to get a free shirt or something (LMAO), but they never responded. they messaged me today, april 4th of 2021 and i was going along with it until i came across this thread. i’ll just attach screenshots but yea,, very shady.

I've had a message like once last year from one of their "representatives" but lately I've been getting their messages every other day. I decided to message their insta to ask if they could stop and all I got was a bot trying to get me to represent them and/or buy stuff from them. Their pushiness is honestly a big red flag to me, especially along the tons of reviews about them not delivering.

It's ironic how many people have been messaged by these people. I too have been messaged, but I didn't realize that it was a bot till later, as the messages grew to be more automated. It's disappointing how they're scamming small artists with the false hope of being a brand ambassador. I also see how the prices are ridiculously high for some people, almost paying 100 dollars! It's really disappointing.

I was contacted in October of 2020 and it is now March of 2021, I had stop replying to their messages because it seemed sus, they had dmed me saying “hey are you still there” creepy right. I am a 15 year old with no job plus I have about 183 followers and they asked me if I would like to be an ambassador. It’s terrible how they are using the lgbt+ community to take peoples money don’t not trust them and do not buy from them.

Seriously, don’t buy from them. I was contacted in September 2020, and still have not received my order. I ordered over $100 (CAD) so I’m pretty disappointed. The customer service is also crap! They don’t do anything to help you. It really bothers me because they are advocating for the lgbtq+ community and letting lgbtq+ youth get disappointed. I’m 17, so I’m not SUPER upset, but it’s disappointing that you can’t find a brand that’s legitimately supporting the lgbtq+ community. :(

I receive over 100 direct messages on Instagram from this company’s fake accounts asking me to be a brand rep for 30% discount. They have also messaged me a few times on their main account with over 770,000 followers. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS BRAND.

I was texted by a random shady account with no followers or posts or nothing asking if I was interested to be the brand ambassador for thtsoundsgay and this person Monica started texting me from their main account . She gave me a discount code without even asking much about me or why would they want me to be their brand ambassador considering its a USA based brand and I don't even live there. They completely ignored my questions and directly gave me a coupon code to get 30% discount on all my orders and other stuff which sounded too good to be true so I checked them up and I came across this page . Not like I was going to fall for this anyway but it's absolutely pathetic how they're using the LGBTQ+ community to scam other people . People need to be safe out there , read and double check things before giving out their card information . I've blocked both their accounts and reported them as scam and I urge everybody else to do the same . This is horrifying .

I recently bought a tshirt from them after they asked me to be a brand ambassador for their company. They gave me a 30% discount code using my instagram name and told me once I received my merch to go ahead and post a photo. I even got a “working” tracking number and order number, but no receipt in my inbox. I didn’t realize it was a scam until their website I used to purchase the shirt was no longer available. This is very odd and sent off a red flag to me. I’ve since filed a dispute with my bank and reported the company to instagram’s spam, as well as blocked them and posted a warning notice in my page. I was very upset that someone would use a small business LGBTQ false identity to scam people out of money. Just when we need small businesses to be supported, now we have to be extra careful to buy from them?! I hate this ?????

I got a message from a random account, saying to message this “brand”. I did, and monica messaged me back, she is clearly a bot, and i would not recommend buying anything from this brand, it’s clearly a scam. Please save your money!

two accounts messaged me claiming to be from thtsoundsgay. they had no followers and not pictures. so, i DMed thtsoundsgay to let them know that people were messaging random accounts. immediately Monica started jumping to conclusions and saying ‘thank you for being an ambassador’ when he mentioned i wouldn’t buy anything, she would say “i don’t understand, how can i help” it’s a massive scam and Monia is clearly a bot. when i called her out she seemed clueless and continued repeating the same thing. waste of time.

I got a message from "Kayla" and she asked me to be an apart of the brand. I am a small art page and she had no followers or posts but linked me to the account of Thatsoundsgay on IG. I did not text her or anything and just reported both accounts. Very sus and my boyfriend even affirmed it was very sus. Never scummy behavior.

My sister was contacted by a private account on Instagram claiming to be an affiliate of thtsoundsgay, she sent a screenshot of those private messages straight to the company on instagram. a girl named monica responded confirming that they are a true company and they wanted her to be an affiliate for the company. They gave her a 30% discount number to give to other people and to use for herself.

I have the same experience as most of your here guys!
I have been contacted through IG for becoming an ambassador of the brand and I accepted since I loved the t-shirts and the idea of the donations. They sent me a 30% code and I made a purchase of 97 USD, received after that confirmation of the order with the tracking number and everything...this was on August 25, 2020. Until today, almost the end of December 2020, I did not receive any item, no replies from the customer care centre, the track number is showing that the items are still in the US...so embarrassed and annoyed by this scam!
Now my profile doesn't exist anymore on their website and I am afraid they will use my card for another scam!
I do not live in the US and apparently there is nothing I can do...

I received my t-shirt and posted about it. I also managed to activate the partnership link with their ig account. Today I found the tag disappeared from my photo and also the partnership link is gone. They deleted all the pics from their account!

I had gotten a DM from this account which had no followers or posts, stating they were from ThtSoundsGay. This vv sus account told me to DM the main about being a brand ambassador. I did... but remembered not to give any personal info or anything to this kinda untrustable account. I started having a conversation with "Monica" (picture included of the end of our conversation). I informed this person that I was not going to buy anything, and I thought it was a bot because "Monica" obviously wasn't understanding what the [censored] I was saying. Now I look and the account is gone, and I see reports of scam for this "company". So ain't that [censored]ing lovely! This new way of scamming is kinda [censored]ing scary, pretending to be a nice company who supports the LGBT community by selling apparel. God... I'm shook.

Same as everyone else: bought two shirts as a "brand embassador" only to not have the order delivered to me and have no one respond to my enquiries through email and social media. Will pursue legal advice on the matter.

hello, so what do you advice me to do right now? To just block that account or tell the user that they are just scammers. My experience is similar to what most of you guys have faced.
