Message showed up on my computer screen saying thay can help with my computer to call them. I had problems with my firewall. They got into my computer and said someone has attempted to get into my computer. I called them and they said they helped with Charter customers with internet. Person had foreign accent. I don't used the computer very often and was not sure of what the person was talking about. I called Charter and they told me it was a scam. Charter offered to transfer me to another department to block this number, but I did not have the number blocked because i would not answer the phone because i do not recognize the nymber. The company said they could offer protection plans at 1 year of coverage and protection was 100.00; 2 years of coverage and protection was $200.00. To pay for protection they wanted the rounting numbers on my check.
