I was referred to Barry Carson from EFP Tax Services by a friend. When I spoke to him, he let me know that he was able to get me additional COVID related credits if he amended my 2020 and 2021 taxes. I paid him $606 on 12/1/2023 to file the amended taxes and additional forms to get the credits. I heard nothing from him for months and then I started getting letters from the IRS that the amended return and the credits that were applied for were rejected because Mr. Carson didn't submit the documentation that should have gone with the amended returns. When I contacted him he keep saying he could fix it, but never did! Now instead of getting a refund for the credits I had him apply for me, I owe the IRS $400 from the erroneous numbers he put on my taxes. I am a victim of a tax preparer scam! Mr. Carson had me to believe that If I paid him $606 that he would get me money back from forms he submitted and that did not happen. He knew he wasn't skilled to do the paperwork or just lied to get some money from me. I am asking for help to get my money back from this scam artist! He did nothing that he said he would do and now I have to pay another tax preparation service to fix my taxes. I have filed a complaint with the Alabama General Attorney Office, the Florida General Attorney, and filed a complaint with the IRS. I refuse to let this scammer do this to me and other hardworking citizens. Please help me stop him!

Got a call from a computer stating I have tax fraud against me and I will be taken to jail by local cop. Give them a call at 205-303-3157. That's a fraud and I know it, I'm not calling them.

I am accused of Tax fraud and must call the number they left which is the same number on my caller ID. A second number called within 10 minutes, it is 405 310-8509. Message was the same, sent to my cell phone. Also had one a few days ago, but can't find the caller in my phone.

I received a call from 202 number that that left a msg that they wee warning me about a ta fraud and all that kind of stuff. they even left a number to call to rectify the situation... it was 619-478-7741...

I did not call either and never will but would like people to know that this is a scam fraud call and if get it, under no circumstance answer it....
