Met her on Tinder in February, asked if we can chat in hangouts. After few weeks of talking, she sent me a photo of her with a drawing of me and few days before our first month, she sent some flowers to my place so I felt she was real. Done 2 video calls with bad connections but able to see her. Confused about other people saying it is a recorded one. Ive been trying to connect the dots here. When I spoke to her on voice call, I noticed a different accent just thought maybe coz shes bilingual. I ignored some of the red flags like when she said shes lives in Sunnyvale, CA but originally from NJ but know nothing about the area. She asked for a selfie from me then asked me where I'm at when I am in one of the iconic spots of San Francisco which everyone knows if you're from the bay. I let it pass coz maybe she hasn't explored the city. I asked her where in Sunnyvale does she love and then she answered Erica Dr. which I told her, i know that area coz I mapped it. She asked me what car I'm driving then she said she has a Mercedes CLS. After our 1st month, she became distant and told me shes not herself coz of her mom. I asked what happened and she said the doctor said shes no longer responding to dialysis. I told her to take a leave of absence so while waiting for the approval, she asked me a favor to access her account and do a transfer to her mom. She asked if i have a personal laptop and I said yes. She asked me to do it in a laptop and take photos on every step. I had an odd feeling so i used my corporate laptop instead for my security since I work for a giant tech company and I'm not gonna get hacked using that. She asked me to access isffg.com which is Sailor Fiduciary Financial Guide, website looks legit but I'm curious so I took a screenshot and researched about it. Headquarters address in Delanco, NJ is residential and on sale at zillow. 2 days later she asked me to do her a favor, transfer money from her account to mine. I did what she asked but I'm smarter so I used a different bank account with nothing. She asked me to transfer $12000 to my account, go to bitcoin ATM and transfer it to her acct. After I did the transaction, we got a message from the website that there's a transfer delay. She asked me to transfer again but this time $6000 instead then it got delayed. I told her maybe it got flagged then she asked me is this the first time that you receive large sum of money, I said no. Few hours later, she texted me that shes [censored]ed coz the account got suspended and will be under review for weeks. That's when she asked me for help then i told her i don't have that much. She became pushy and made me feel guilty for not helping. I said i already tried my best to raise the money but there's nothing i can do. She asked if I'm gonna make extra money if I sell my car, I said yes. The she insisted and told me i can have her Mercedes to get to work then offer to replace my car. I said I cant then she got upset and told me if i can borrow money from someone. The next day, I told her I got the money and otw to the bitcoin ATM. She was checking what time will i be there, I said after my work. I didn't reply for hours then i came up with a plan to test her. I googled a photo of a car crash with the same car that I have. At first shes concern if I'm ok then got upset and said do you know I've seen that photo from google. I said its a test coz if you really have bad connection, how are you able to do a google search then she got upset. I'm way smarter though i wasted 2 months of my time for her.

Two days ago this supposed woman, contacted me through an app, it was very strange, because she didn't want to chat through there, but through Hangouts, we started talking she pre sat as Tammy Julia, from NJ, and one of her questions was ,if I was one of the people who would send money if the other person needed it, obviously I told her no, that intrigued me and I followed her game.

Asked me for $3000 for her mom's Leukemia treatment and then $1000 and then $400. I just kept saying no. She said if something happened to her mom, she would not be able to forgive me. I responded (knowing she was lying the whole time) that was the most f-ed up thing she could say to someone she claimed to be madly in love with and someone's soulmate and she immediately apologized and deleted the message. Still never sent money money she was requesting.

When the FB accounts get taken down by FB for being reported as fake, she just texts me. She is using a google voice number, which means they are located somewhere in the US, or were at least in the US initially. You can use a google voice number in another country as long as you have wifi.

Met on Zoe dating app. Sent me all the same pictures given by the other people. Asked for top up money of €169 to call her mum. I said I could not pay so they threatened to post the videos and pictures I sent online. I said it’s not a huge threat because I can request authorities to remove them. Then I found this page with using the phone number in google search engine.

Accent sounded Nigerian
They claimed they are from New Jersey and grew up in the US. No US accent and English not a first language.

They said they are Brazilian
/American I asked them to speak Portuguese they could not. I asked for verification pictures, they photoshopped it.

I asked for more verification pictures, they refused. 2 weeks no word then asked me to pay the amount.

Meet on the January 14th, I found out the trust 2 days ago, after 6 weeks of daily talking with some pictures and videos. This person said she was on mission as a ship captain, American, recently moved in Brussels, waiting for her mum to join her. Her dad past away because of COVID, and she only has her mum to take care, she means the world to her. Her mum also sent me an email to say to take care of her daughter and that she was sick (I should see a red flag at this moment). During 6 weeks, I talked to a caring, kind and romantic person. And then 2 days ago, Yudi asked me to help her because her mum was sick and alone at the hospital because of cancer, she needed surgery. She was insisting and made me feel guilty. I still hardly realized that everything was fake. I didn’t lost any money, just some tears and time.

She created a profile on Ur My Type as well. She used the picture where she is seated in the car. She said she is a sailor and presently in the pacific ocean. I asked where she is from and she said Brazil. I then started texting her in Portuguese as I know Portuguese very well, and she responded "sorry I dont speak spanish".

I asked her what is going on, and she then responded that she was born and raised in New Jersey but originates from Brazil, and so only knows Portuguese a little bit.

I did a google image search on her profile picture and stumbled upon this page.

So she got caught right at the beginning in her lies not knowing I speak Portuguese.

Even if he/she knew Portuguese just a bit he/she would have recognized the wording very easily, as it was a very simple sentence.

This probably means that she/he doesnt understand Portuguese, otherwise she/he wouldn't have given a bad alternative excuse and would simply have continued in Portuguese.

For every suspected profile you need to run a Google image search to make sure.

Hello together,
also I became a victim of this woman, thank God without loosing money.
She came to me via Zoe as lesbian woman named Maria Ludeman, 36 years old, living in the Netherlands in Wassenaar since one year. Told me to be born in US New Jersey but that the mum is from the Netherlands and that her granny lives there too and that she wants to start an complete new live in the Netherlands after the end with her ex and that she is about bringing her mum also there after coming back to land at the end of the year. After 2 weeks of writing she asked me to transfer money from her account to the sick mother. This I did not and since then she's gone. I wrote with her via hangouts and she called me three times via hangouts too and I definitely talked to an American lady who was very kind and lovely and smart, but as I learned from Instagram the real Thalita behind this wrong identity is from Brasil and speaks Portuguese. She told me to be a captain and is additionally dealing with Kryptos and has an own cannabis farm in Mexico. All pictures I have from her I found on the real Instagram profile except the following one. God bless the scammers and our victim souls.

As I am sure you have read in all the entries below we all have a similar story. She also told me she was from NJ and called me on hangouts voice chat 2x but it was definitely not an American I spoke to. The woman I spoke to had a weird accent, english was definitely not her first language.
a bunch of us here are in a chat group on instagram and after comparing stories we have come to the conclusion that the scammers behind this are Nigerian men but they use females to make the phone calls.
Anyway, thank you for coming on here and sharing your story and I'm sorry this happened to you.

The same thing happened to me but this time I had to work a lot with the translator since I don't speak English and I live in Argentina. I see that you are working on this since we have been in contact since the end of October. She made me a fleeting video call in which she and her dog were seen on the boat. which in this case is called Lucky. She also called me on the phone on one occasion, but the most serious thing was the story that a colleague had hit himself on the boat and was unconscious and had to be transferred in an emergency for which she had to pay $ 14,500 for that rescue operation. Then she asked me something very confidential according to her that she shouldn't tell. He gave me the details of a bank account in his name from a French or Swiss bank and asked me to transfer a large sum to his mother. That definitely alerted me, I asked her for a photo of her mother and she sent it to me, a lady in a bed, a German-looking blonde, who would have nothing to do with a Spanish woman. It was the final thrust since I always raised doubts and evaded the answers. the account he gave me, it was opened normally and there was a very large sum of money, It seemed crazy to me that she asked a person that according to her she loved madly but that she had never seen and of course I did not, That was yesterday, I wanted to come to Argentina as soon as I disembarked to experience the supposed love that he had for me. I discovered that he had given me another name. according to her her name was Tamara Julia Gill. I never found her in google or in any social network. another alert. I am going to join that club here, but with me, she used another name, and she was a mechanical engineer from Harvard who lives in Weston Ma, her name is supposedly Tammy Camilla Elizabeth used the same trick mother who lives in New Jersey, a dog named max who was soon to come, who could only talk at certain times very sweet and charming and really knows how to detect and say certain words that can turn you on, she also supposedly drew a picture of me which I thought was strange but what can I say I fell for her, I really felt in love, she even made me buy her a Google card and that's where I started to see the red flags, and realize the inconsistencies of her messages and also stupidly sent me a repeated message and thanks to my photographic memory I could realize, recently she just asked me for my address to supposedly send me flowers and when I said no you know the answer, and I was stupid enough to doubt my judgment but thank God I found all this chat, well some of you better pictures of her than I. I feel so stupid !

You're not stupid, we all fell for the same scam. I'm glad that you had the where-with-all to Google her name and find the scam site. The person you were speaking to was a man from Nigeria. I'm so sorry if you feel broken hearted over this, we all did. We have a support group on Instagram, it is really helpful and we have become fast friends. HELLO LADIES! I would like to introduce you to the "Tammy Cassie Gilbert" that we have been talking to, and for some giving money to. His name is "Evans" and of course he is in Nigeria. There is an entire group of men in Lagos Nigeria running the same scam, unfortunately he is not the only one using Thalita's photos. He literally admitted to being "Tammy". I have reported him to the Nigerian authorities, but if they are as useless as the FBI, I doubt anything will be done about this. I too have reported the Instagram profiles several times and nothing has been done, they are still up. I have resorted to messaging all of the followers to notify them of the scam, but they're all Arabic men so truthfully I care a little less for them than I do my lesbian sisters. This situation was heartbreaking for me, but even more so I'm sickened by the sex-talk. I understand that Thalita feels that there is nothing that she can do about this. But I disagree that all the photos were stolen from her Instagram account. I personally have sexy photos and a video of her dancing that are no where to be found on any social media site of hers. And as I have said several times, what I am stuck on is the scecific photo that I asked her to take biting her bottom lip. She sent the photo I requested, it was Thalita, purple glasses and all, and even her name badge says so. What the hell are the chances of a catfish having this specific photo? Little to none. I believe Thalita's innocence, but this photo haunts and confuses me. I'm just glad that in the future anyone who Googles the name will be notified that this/her/him is a scam.

It's taken me a few days to come join the Tammy Cassie Gilbert support group here.
I have never been catfished before so I'm shook AF and I'm still trying to wrap my head around wtf just happened.
I want to thank each and every one of you that came on here and shared your story, I am a very generous and trusting person and if it wasn't for all of you posting on here I could have very easily been tricked into falling for her scam, so thank you.
My heart goes out to each and every one of you for being emotionally victimized by her and extra sympathy for the ones that got conned into sending her $. There is a special place in hell for someone that does this to people.
Same story as most of you... met on Tinder, said she was a Captain of a private shipping vessel and would be out at sea until December. Could only chat on google hangouts due to poor reception. We chatted for 6 weeks. The sexting was fire! She convinced me to send so many naked pics of myself which I definitely regret now, she even threatened to sell the pics I sent her so if you see my pussy plastered all over the internet say hi for me LOL.
Sick mom back in New Jersey stage 4 liver failure on dialysis, 2 weeks ago got worse, wanted to break her contract and get off the ship but needed $ to pay the contract back and didn't have access to all the $ and investments she claimed to have.
Sent me a present in the mail... but the one that really got me was the picture of herself holding a drawing she did of me for our "one month anniversary" (which I found out later was a pic from she stole from Thalita Soares IG and photoshopped). Damn she is good! I really fell for her when she sent me that pic.
She called me 2x on google hangouts in the days leading up to her asking me for $. It was a female who called and she had a Brazilian accent which was confusing because she said she was an American from NJ and her ethnicity was Spanish.
If you want to know more just ask. @abstractione I see you filed a case with ReportFraud.ftc.gov and IC3 which I think is great. I'm happy to share email accounts she used, return address for the gift she sent me and whatever information I have to help you with that.
Don't worry guys she will get what is coming to her Karma never forgets an address ;)
Please don't be hard on yourselves for being fooled. We are all just genuine people looking for a REAL relationship and thought we found something special in this scammer.

I lost my previous access data. Yesterday I spoke with Thalita . I showed her some of the pictures we have and warned her that maybe her web cam, phone or iCloud could have been or were hacked . She told me that all the pics we have are from stories she has uploaded to her ig account , that she has not been hacked at all , she told me to be careful and that she can't do anything about it . I showed her some drawings that " Tammy" had sent me and asked her if she had done them she said no, they were not hers. I also showed her a picture of a notebook with coordinate calculations that "Tammy" sent me and they are not hers either, she told me that the calculations were wrong and that the coordinates were missing... this guy has lied about everything .

That they hacked her account I must say that it always seemed strange to me, one because hacking an iCloud account, a phone or whatever is not so simple, two if the person who wrote us could really do something like that I think he would have stolen all of us our bank accounts and so on.

Anyway, Thalita is not behind any of this, she just uploads pictures to her ig account like any normal person.

Advice for those of you reading this who still think you might be talking to her: don't waste your time and money with this imposter, you are talking to someone else and not the real person behind the pictures.

Ladies...it has been discovered that Thalita Soares is NOT behind any of this, even though she is not responding to any messages. This has probably been going on for so long, she has probably received so many messages that she has thrown her hands up and feels that there is nothing she can do about this. We have questioned how we have photos and videos of her that are not on Instagram or any of her social media. I believe her iCloud has been hacked, she is a bit of an influencer after all, she's an easy target. It could also explain the pre-recorded video calls that we had with her. I personally always found it suspicious that when I could see her, I couldn't hear her...and when I could hear her, I couldn't see her (voice messages sent). Let's agree to leave Thalita Soares alone and not message her on Instagram anymore. BUT, this is far from over. We are all from different places in the world and have spoken to "her" on different dating sites. It's going to be up to us to stop this person from doing this to other women. PLEASE, take a screenshot of each complaint on this site and email the dating sites you met them on (or any accounts you find for Tammy Cassie Gilbert) and email them attaching the complaints and photos you have of her to notify them that she is a 'Catfish" or "Romance Scam Artist" and ask them to remove the profile. I cannot disclose the true perpetrator at this time, but it is not Thalita. I for one am relieved and feel a lot of healing by this, knowing that I was not rejected by Cassie, I was in love with her, but this really helps to know it was never her. I think we all have learned something from this bitter experience, for me it is clear that there are things that are too good to be true and in the future I will continue on those dating apps but I will be very careful.
For my part I went back to see Tammy's profile on Wapa and reported it. I wouldn't want anyone else to fall victim to that fake profile.

I am so confused by seeing the Instagram account of Thalita Soares. I honestly think that it IS Thalita herself using the name Tammy Cassie Gilbert to scam people. I met this girl on an app called Wapa , according to her she is a captain of a LPG boat , she is American and has invested in real estate . She is very tender , cute and says exactly what you want to hear. After a month and a bit of talking to her she asked me for 500 euros in bitcoins because she said she needed them for a project she was investing in. I was almost convinced to send them to her until we accessed her bitcoin account through a friend and found out that it was created in Nigeria and is anonymous. All I know is that it is a man using the photos of that girl.
I tried to warn the real girl of the photos about it but she did not give any importance to the fact that they use her photos to scam others.
