On July 13, 2021 I paid TAG Marketing $999.99 for a lifetime coverage of protection for Tech Support. How can I get my money back?

My address has changed- 4000 N. Main St, Apt 222, East Peoria, IL 61611

(84 years old) was working on computer and it 'froze'. Victim received a call and that person who identified as Mark King (tech guy) said that he noticed that their computer was frozen and wanted to fix it remotely. Victim complied and he said it looked like victim had lots of charges to Amazon on their account. Victim does not have an Amazon account, nor have they ever purchased from Amazon. Victim gave him approval to "take Amazon off of computer". Mark King then "unfroze" computer and instructed to send an $8000.00 check to: TAG Market, LLC, PO Box 3654, Butte, MT 59702. PH: 800-747-0142. Check was mailed on 2/7/2022 and "Eric" from TAG Market called victim on 2/11/22 to way the "funds have been received" . Contacted the Barry County Sheriff's Office to file report and also the Butte, MT Law Enforcement office to report on 2/12 & 2/13/22. Butte, MT Law Dispatch looked for this TAG Market, LLC business and did not find on her end.

I have just learned that this company has been xo tasting my elderly parents to pay for computer security. They call for additional money and show on my parents’ computer ‘malicious ware’. This has continued for several years but I was just made aware of the contact. After investigating the company, I have found it to not exist. How can people look at themselves daily when they are knowingly stealing from the elderly?
