They actually used something from my past that I had forgotten about. I dont know how they got the information but it seemed legit. They knew the year it happened, the bank, my social security # and everything. They even emailed me paperwork with a case number on there letter head telling me to put a hold on the civil suit pending against me I had to pay half the amount due. If I didnt make the payment I would be served with a summons to court and then the judge could decide but I would then owe court fees etc.
