Received a call from a local area code, answered and was greeted by a recorded message saying I was receiving a call from Stokes County Jail (which is also in NC). I needed to press 3 to accept the call and I would receive 60 free seconds of the call then I would be sent to a payment option line. I accepted the free 60 second call in case it was a friend or family member in an emergency, it was someone I didn't recognize and couldn't identify me. She said her name was Kimberly and she got my number "from some Caucasian girl who said you were a good person." She couldn't identify the name of the girl either. She asked me to send her some money and didn't ask for a specific amount or payment type. Free call ended, was sent to a payment line and hung up. The number tried calling back and it only rang for a few seconds before the call was ended (didn't answer the second time).
