Ask me my zip. Then wanted my address to better pinpoint my location. They asked what service I had and I told them Direct TV and they asked about the internet service and I told them AT&T. They wanted to know if I wanted some thing better suggestions on better services and I answered yes. Then said he was checking and he hung up. The line just went blank. I tried calling back and phone remained busy, time after time I continued to call. Never got back to them because phone stayed busy. I just very worried this was a scam!!!

I got a $9000 dollar grant from the government since I was retired. Only 1700 people are granted this each year.

I was to call the Treasury Department at the number they gave me and give them a special number which they gave me. After that call Ii was too call them back. I could get the money as a direct deposit, Debit or Visa card, or cash through Western Union.

They said I was picked through a government program instituted in 2009.????

I told them thanks and called the BBB.

Since I didn't apply for a grant, It seemed funny.

No person on the line, it was a recording offering vacation for free to Disney. We have received many of these calls to our business. I can not figure out how to make them stop calling.

I tried to call the number on the back of my HSA debit card but I misread the last number and called the number above instead. They tried to get my credit card information to charge me a $4 fee after promising to send me a $100 Walmart gift card.

Thanks in advance for investigating this apparent scam, and for all of your good work!

I heard about this scam before and he caught me off guard. Asked if I can hear him and I answered "YES". Then he went into about saying I won a vacation. I tried to cut in on what he was saying but could not. When I realized that I said yes and could not cut in I hung up. This happened today 02/21/2017. I did not give any other information besides the "YES" answer. I have not been charged anything yet!!! Will be calling my bank and card holders.

This was the phone number that called me on the, "Can You Hear Me OK Scam". I accidently said yes, and he went on to say you have won a vacation. Then I remembered the scam and hung up. Total time on phone call was probably 15 seconds.

I will register this number with the Do Not Call list.

The guy on the phone said, "Hi this is Phil, can you hear me ok? " I said yes and realized right away that I should have not done that. He started talking about a vacation opportunity and and I hung up.

I received the "can you hear me?" Phone call. Although I can not remember if I replied, yes to their question, I'd still like to report them. Not sure where they hail from, and they never gave a business name. What should I do if I did answer "yes" unknowingly?

A male called my cell from number listed. He said he was calling from Publishers Clearing house. His caller ID indicated he was calling from Jamica. He proceeded to say he had sent two letters telling me I had won 56 million dollars and a 2017 Mercedes. All I need to do is go to my local Walmart and he asked me where I'd go and purchase a 350$ visa card. I was sceptical but amused so I let him go on until I burst out laughing. He became angry and spouted very sexually explicit, prejudicial comments. Not course, I hung up. There you go, another scam averted.

Said we had a nephew in jail. Hug up as soon as was asked which nephew as we have 15 bros and sis.

2 sullen voice mails 10 minutes apart from male identifying himself as Pete Martin, saying he was informing of an "enforcement order of the U.S. Treasury" and that, in order to avoid legal action taken against us we should call the number listed above (224-330-3282.

Doesn't sound like the U.S. Treasury, does it?

Just received this text message from [email protected]

"[We are sorry but your: BnkOfAmerica DEBIt is temporary locked{***]. Visit: bnkofamerica.com-894-ue9061.com/[9EM34LO}"

Sounds like a scam, doesn't it? Doesn't sound like something that would come from Bank of America...
