I was desperate for a loan and clicked on what I thought was a legitimate company. Their website closely copies a real loan company so when you look them up the trust pilot rating is great. I should have recognized it as a scam when they said we will send you $800, you send it back then we will release the $2000 requested, but I let my panic overrule common sense.

I called my bank the next morning on Oct 2nd to freeze my accounts, reported the scam to all 3 credit bureaus, unlinked any account information and reported to Cash App. First Heritage Federal Credit Union then made an entire new account and card. I thought that was the end. Yesterday I opened my account to see a negative balance of -$800. The bank had made 2 payments for $400 to another branch of the scammers and now say I owe the credit Union $800. I will be filing fraud paperwork.
