After working with the "real" Quickbooks, it was determined that the phone number for Quickbooks customer service was a phantom number was pointed to a "shell" company. The shell company updated out Quickbooks Desktop Pro to release 24.0. They canceled our Quickbook Online and also our Elite Payroll subscription. What was odd is that Quickbooks verified the credits went through. The shell company had given us a "fake" ID number. Our real Quickbooks subscription was canceled for non-payment. When I saw the charge of 2070.00 on our American Express bill we realized it was a scam. A Trojan virus was released on our company company. AMEX has credited our card, our bank has been notified and there is a "fraud watch" on our accounts. The Intuit domain looked real until I hovered over it and it showed the domain was chilipepper. Thank you!
