I had the same experience with a 49.95 ghost charge on my debit card from last week to pureinst.xyz with ph. 833-972-3260. I called my bank and they would have to cancel my card due to fraud and re-issue. I told them I would just reach out to the company to request a refund. I called the number and got thru (by pressing 5) to a representative with a familiar asian accent who found my transaction, and said she would cancel the subscription and refund the credit back to my account. Said to wait about 3 days for the credit. Will follow up in a few days...

Type of a scam Online Purchase

On 11.29.2023 a debit withdraw of $1.95 to PUREINST was taken from my account, since I didn't open my account I did not see it until it was paid from the account. On 12.02.23 I received a text message from the card holder company asking if I authorized a payment of $49.95 to PUREINST. The text said Y or N or Stop. I responded with N and immediately received a phone call from the phone number that appeared on the text. I called Erie Federal Credit Union immediately and was told my card was canceled and a new card would be issued. When I spoke with the Credit Union employee I understood the $49.95 would not be paid. Today I opened my checking account and found out that the $49.95 was paid and withdrawn from my checking account. I called my credit union and was told because the account was "pending" when I called on 12.02.23 they could not stop the payment. I tried to call the phone #833-972-3260 on the debit payment and received a greeting of Billing press 5# to continue and the phone hung up instantly. I will fill out the paperwork from my credit union, but I don't expect any money back. Thank you
