A flyer was posted on Facebook by someone I know about rental and mortgage assistance from Pure Equality Project. The phone number given was the one provided. The person behind the scam's name is Ralphelle Jeansonne and he claims to be the founder of the Pure Equality Project. He said that he could provide assistance for rental or mortgage payments through a federal program and all he needed was $100 to speed along the application process. Through text, he asks for name, address, phone number, email address, and information concerning rent and utility amount, as well as the property management's information. He also asks for the payment to be sent to his cash app, $RalphJ785. After payment is sent, he sent two emails. One saying that you had been approved for a certain amount and when the funds would be sent to your property management company and then another saying that the funds would arrive sooner than expected. The funds never arrived and Jeansonne is no longer answering the phone to give the money he stole back.

I did not receive anything he kept telling me that it was coming and nothing I lost everything I really was depending on the help but nothing ever came this has been since August it’s now November

I can speak ONLY for me but I have been working with Ralph since the end of 2022 and has never lied about anything. I never paid $100 and he still helped me with my rent EVERY other month. He does live outside of Houston I know because I've met him.

I am just posting based off of my experience. The funds were never received. He has poor communication and I believe that this is a scam. He's stated that he has several people file complaints against him. He's very nonchalant and rude.

If you are in a tough situation please don't risk your livelihood on this scam. If it wasn't for actual programs that I applied for I could've been homeless. He's also supposed to be a lawyer and work for a DA's office in Louisiana. He's also been posted in a scam group on facebook.

I was referred by a friend and everyone who she has referred has not received funds either. I believe the other two people on this post are friends of him or pages he's created to comment and make it look legit. (If you notice both people commented on the same day and this post has been up since Aug 4th.)
