Attempted to purchase a thermostat from Pro Tools Shop (protoolsshop.com). Made my payment through PayPal. Realizing almost 2 weeks had passed I looked for an order confirmation email. That's when I discovered one may not have been received so I reached out to their customer service email to see if they could check for an order history under two different emails.

After failure to receive a response from their customer service email ([email protected]), I grew suspicious. An online search for that email returned multiple articles indicating the email is linked to scams.

Thankfully they didn't get DOB, SSN, DL#, or medical history. PayPal has my CC# on file and shows the vendor on my banking statement: as PAYPAL*KOOBERL8H36.

I've placed a dispute with my bank but would appreciate any guidance from your end.
