I'm a manager with *** *** *** an individual or individuals have been using our rental ads and "ghosting' them pretending to be with our management company. As potential renters connect with the scammers pretending to be with the management company they talk the individuals into paying deposits with cash or gift cards never to be able to show them an actual apartment. *** has received phone calls from the public checking out fishy stories from potential scammers. We are also working with local police.
