They claim to be a reputable business with many happy customers, but they have made a habit of taking deposits and not showing up, they use his fake "heart condition" as an excuse, they block clients numbers and ghost them. But when he does complete a job, the cabinets are not sanded or cleaned properly he sprays over dust and debris and grease. He fails to take the hinges off and properly tape and mask off causing lots of overspray. They then try to charge you extra if you want this done, they leave garbage behind claiming it is extra to remove it. They throw a BS contract at you stating this was all in the contract.
They have been known to steal personal property and many times police have been involved. He has an alcohol problem and has drank on the job. He has a lengthy criminal record as well as his wife. Mike has tried hitting on clients wives and been kicked off of jobs. These are not the type of people you want in your home. They act like they are reputable and have staff when they do not. They drive a black older dodge pick up truck with a topper, or a smaller dodge truck with no topper, or an older model white Mercedes SUV.
They have been known to use fake name before as well, has gone by Michael Fuel. In 2024 he opened a gym "Fuel Fitness" in Mitchell and offered yearly memberships and personal training. He took peoples money and it closed within 3 months. They were kicked out of the building for not paying rent.
They have moved from town to town but currently reside in Mitchell, Ontario. Unfortunately when the police get involved they're hands are tied and they tell you it is a civil matter, and that you need to go to small claims court. PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE HIRING!
There is a page on fb dedicated to them called Stop Michael Phipps - Kitchen Cabinet Spraying Thief & Scam Artist. If you also google his old business names (listed above) you will find some info on them!

New Name Same Game - Pristine Design is now SPRAYCORE.CA
They have the same old street signs in blue and white, and still the same game. They have a new website which looks like a major downgrade from the old one. It has many tell tale signs it is managed by them, lots of grammar issues and the layout is awful, no actual address or business owner details to avoid people actually googling the owner to do research. They have went to many efforts to have the old reviews taken down. If your on fb look up the Stop Michael Phipps page to see his path of destruction and many many unhappy customers for the past 10+ years they have been going.
Kitchen cupboard spray and renovations
He does a terrible job despite promising’a million dollar kitchen’. He sprayed over dust and grease. The finish felt rough. I had to sand and clean everything after he’d finished and then paint it again myself.
He never worked more than a few hours and always smelled of stale booze.
He refused to refund any of the money $9000 although the paint was chipping within a week.
Do not use this company.
