Charged my credit card 149.95 for TSA application. They did schedule me an appointment with Staples which is where i discovered i need an additional 78.00 for background check. Cant give you information other than phone number on credit card statement 321-587-3216. Not sure if you can call it a scam but a third party company taking full advantage of overcharging first time users.

I googled TSA Pre Check and this site came up. I put in my personal information (did not ask for passport number or drivers license) and put in my credit card info. They payment said it couldn’t go through, but I imagine it is stored. They continue to email/text me to complete my application.

Pretsa Assist Scam

Charged me $149.95 fee to schedule an appointment for pre-tsa check approval, when tsa only charges $85 for the approval. I basically paid $149.95 for them to schedule an appointment. The site is very misleading and a scam.

the scammer posed as pre tsa website, I received confirmation & appointment, I was charged $148.95 on Jan 19,2023, upon arriving at my appoint to pre tsa, I

told the woman, I had already been charged $148.95, she advised me that was not a legitimate company & had me file complaints with FTC , TSA gov and BBB.

Yes. PreTSA Assist is a scam. I was prompted to pay $149.95. I called TSA and they said I should not have paid that money. TSA only charges $85 at the interview process. This is apparently a scam. Please be alert.

When you click on the website, this third party company makes it seem as if you applying for TSA pre check, but you are actually applying for them to apply for you and charge you $150 extra for this unnecessary service. When I clicked on the link, it appeared to be an official TSA Precheck site, and the company asked for all the information as I would expect to provide in the process… including your full name, passport number and home address. Then, you are prompted to pay $140, making it seem I was paying for TSA fee.
