I applied for a remote Accounts Payable Clerk position through LinkedIn for a company called "Premier SIPS". Someone using the name Jim Aucamp ([email protected]) who was claiming to be their HR Manager emailed me indicating I had the skills they were looking for. They emailed me a Interview/Assessment questionnaire that took me over 3 hours to complete. In addition to this I took a picture of my office setup and emailed all back to him. They then emailed me back saying they wanted to hire me and my starting pay was going to be $65 an hour. Also asked how I would like to receive my pay. I have been doing accounting work for a long time and know that no one starts an AP clerk out at $65/hour! So I googled Premier SIPS and found a company in Montana and called them. The office manager there said she had hundreds of calls regarding this fictitious position and that it's a scam. If you notice at the end of this persons email address they reference NY. They do not have a location in NY. I just never emailed the scammers back and am reporting to every agency I can.
